COVID-19 Policy

All of LH Art-STEM staff are fully vaccinated.

In accordance with the CDC, Massachusetts State and Cambridge City guidelines, LH Art-STEM has developed and will continue to outline safety protocols to ensure the health and wellbeing of all workshop participants and staff. Please read all of the protocols outlined below prior to the start of your workshop and contact us if you have any questions.

All participants and staff must wear a face covering at all times. LH Art-STEM will have additional masks on hand should your child’s mask become dirty or no longer functional.

Child and staff belongings (i.e. backpacks, water bottles, etc) will be kept separate from those of others.

Staff face coverings will be cleaned/disinfected or replaced between in-person sessions. We encourage families to do the same. The sharing of face coverings is prohibited.

Children and staff shall maintain a safe distance (3 feet) from one another whenever possible.

Hand sanitizer will be available, and children and adults will be required to use it regularly.

All surfaces, tools, materials and other equipment will be thoroughly clean at the beginning and end of each session.

Frequently touched surfaces will be cleaned on a regular schedule throughout each session.

If tools must be shared, they will be disinfected by a staff member between use by children.

Staff and participants will not be allowed on site if they have tested positive for or are showing COVID-19 (See a list of symptoms here) or if they have come into close contact with a person with COVID-19. Parents MUST notify LH Art-STEM immediately if their child or anyone in their household begins showing symptoms of COVID-19.

If a child is complaining of fever, fatigue, and/or cough or shortness of breath (or any other illness), LH Art-STEM staff will immediately inform Camp Director Bing Hollander who will remove the child from contact with the rest of the group. Bing will call the parent via the emergency contact information given at the time of registration to pick up the child and inquire if there have been any potential exposure to the virus. The child will remain isolated with Bing until a parent or guardian arrives to pick them up. All materials on site will immediately be disinfected before others can continue use. Parents of all team members will be notified of the incident so that they can monitor children for potential symptoms.

All of LH Art-STEM staff will be trained on all applicable precautions and policies in accordance with Massachusetts State and CDC safety guidelines

A mandatory health screening assessment will be implemented for employees and children. Screenings will ask about COVID-19 symptoms in the past 14 days, positive COVID-19 tests in the past 14 days, and potential contact with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 cases in the past 14 days. In the event that any child or employee tests positive, state and the local health department will be notified immediately.
